We commissioned Blue Sail to undertake a major strategy review. The project, a Tourism Sector Growth Plan for Warwickshire, 2023-28, involved extensive research and consultation with multiple stakeholders across Warwickshire from the public and private sectors. The team delivered a set of concise, comprehensive reports on time and on budget. We were delighted with the results which provide a clear evidence base, plus a cohesive vision and strategy to unite all partners, coupled with some very practical action plans for delivery by the County Council.

We presented Blue Sail with quite a complicated challenge, and one that would require carefully untangling, in the development of a regional Destination Management Plan. Through carefully listening to the needs and asks of individuals and small groups, understanding the problems we were trying to solve and having a solid basis of good data and sound ideas, we are delighted that the resulting plan feels special, and unique to us, our destinations, and businesses. This is a plan that is both challenging yet achievable and one that has a clear delivery model.

The Destination Management Plan produced by Blue Sail is clear, concise, ambitious but also achievable. It not only gives us a strategic focus but creates a dynamic and exciting plan for tourism in the Borough. Their approach has meant that we have a plan that fits with and reads well alongside other Council and connected regional strategies ensuring buy in from a number of stakeholders.
