Bang in the centre of England, celebrated for Shakespeare and Warwick Castle, Warwickshire has a lot to offer.
We spent a highly enjoyable 18 months from autumn 2020 to spring 2022 getting that message out via the recovery marketing campaign ‘Visit Warwickshire’.
And now we are delighted to have won the recent tender to develop a Tourism Sector Growth Plan for Warwickshire. The visitor economy is one of the priorities within the Strategic Economic Plan Warwickshire County Council is preparing, so this work is a fantastic opportunity for tourism to realise its potential.
Fundamental to the Growth Plan is a clear vision and focused set of priorities which respond to the market opportunity, build on the strengths of Warwickshire and extend beyond its famously strong heritage offer.
Working in partnership is important to the County Council, so we will be working closely with key partners, destinations and businesses over the coming months to develop an ambitious, coherent plan around which everyone can unite.
