The prestigious Academy of Urbanism representing the best thinking and practice in urban design and development has placed a final call for nomination for its annual awards to the UK’s greatest places.

In 2010 the Great Town Award went to Scarborough, the Great Neighbourhood Award to Coin Street in London, the Great Street Award to the lovely Grey Street in Newcastle and the Great Place Award to Sheaf Square in Sheffield.

So if any of your towns, neighbourhoods or places are worthy of such notice you have 3 weeks left to make a nomination.
