It’s great to be back in the Lake District with a fantastic group of major cultural organisations led by the Brewery Arts Centre working with Cumbria Tourism and the Lake District National Park. The Lake District is one of 10 cultural destinations receiving funding through the recent accord between the Arts Council and Visit England. We’re working on how to describe and position the cultural offer, and then producing a strategy to support and develop cultural experiences and a marketing plan to restore Cumbria’s claim as the leading rural cultural destination.
