North of Tyne Destination & Cultural Marketing

Interesting things are happening in the new combined authorities. Tourism doesn't always feature as a priority for them but in the case of the new North of Tyne Combined Authority it certainly does. Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside recognise how significant tourism is for their economies, and the synergy that exists between tourism and culture. We are working with them to review the current arrangements for destination marketing and scoping out an appropriate role for the combined authority working across boundaries.
