Mitigating the impacts of a nuclear power station on East Suffolk’s tourism economy

We love it when things come our way that are slightly different to the day to day. And that’s exactly what our current project with East Suffolk District Council is – slightly different.

We’re working with them to plan and deliver a series of engagement sessions with the district’s tourism industry to help develop a short and longer term investment plan to mitigate potential impacts on the tourism economy associated with the construction of a new 3.2 gigawatt (GW) nuclear power station on the East Suffolk coastline, Sizewell C.

So whilst the components of the project are right up our street, we’re learning a lot about the challenges and opportunities for the tourism economy presented by such a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (or NSIP as we’ve learned!)
