It’s great to be back working in Sussex for Arun District looking at their tourism services and making recommendations for the way they organise and deliver services going forward.
With an improving offer at the county level through Experience West Sussex and a stronger online presence in each of the main towns (Arundel, Littlehampton and Bognor), where does this leave the District?
We’ve been talking to all of the major stakeholders and what is clear is that there is a really important role for the District – driving investment, shaping the experience, managing the destination. And of course if it’s good for visitors, it is also good for students, businesses, investors and residents.
Covid is challenging of course – but it is also a time to be bold and imaginative – and it is great to be working in a forward looking District where there is excitement and optimism about what tourism can do for their communities.
