A Swiss Army Knife for the 21st century

I was packing for a business trip recently – and realised my voice recorder had packed up.  They’re great for recording insights when I’m facilitating workshops solo.  No probs, I thought, I’ll use the one on my phone.

Then it struck me that, as well as the digital voice recorder:

I used to take my laptop and dongle to go online & check emails … now I take my phone
I used to take tickets, booking references, contact details, diary & maps … now I take my phone
I used to take my camera to snap destinations & delegates … now I take my phone
I used to take my Flip video camera to film vox pops and stakeholder interviews … now I take my phone
I used to take my timer to time fast-paced workshops … now I take my phone
I used to take a little radio for radio-less hotel rooms … now I take my phone.

So – my phone’s a sort of Swiss Army Knife for the 21st century businesswoman.  It even provides an emergency make-up mirror (by reversing the camera) and, thanks to the latest software update, a torch.   But I’m yet to find the electric toothbrush function … anyone?
