Tune Hotels, who have 8 hotels in Indonesia and Malaysia, are bringing their ‘pay for what you use’ concept to London. Their new hotel located in Westminster Bridge Road is being promoted at 1p a room for bookings made in June and July. It’s not clear from their website what their rack rate will be.
The concept – articulated in a video distributed on their website and Youtube – strips the offer down to a great bed (5 star) and you pay for any extras – like a towel! Which is maybe less optional than air-con or wifi or use of the TV which you also pay for. And you also pay more for a room with windows.
The group has ambitions so you could be seeing a Tune Hotel in a destination near you very soon.
