Sussex Visitor Economy

We are excited to be back working in Sussex reviewing the visitor economy as part of a new collaborative project jointly commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council and West Sussex County Council.

Recognising the importance of tourism, the Sussex authorities have asked us to develop a robust evidence base to inform a new medium term action plan and long term vision for the Sussex visitor economy. This will become the basis for a shared ambition and strong partnership.

We will be looking at all of the data with fresh eyes, reviewing their markets and identifying best prospects and looking at examples of good practice.  Working with our research partners, Bluegrass, we will also deliver new perception research among visitors and non-visitors.

Sussex like many other areas has been hit hard by the pandemic but is using this moment to plan for a more sustainable and resilient way forward. Our work will provide a roadmap to help achieve exactly that.
